Q: How much to fix my computer? A: We offer several in-store flat rate services that are based on what symptons you are getting. Our in-store Basic Diagnostic service is priced at $69+tax and allows us to test all hardware on your computer and quote you on the repair. Our Advanced Service is priced at $169+tax and allows us to test all hardware and repair any windows issues, it is our flat rate labor price that basically cover it all. Neither service includes any hardware parts. Q: Is it worth repairing my computer, it is five years old?A: That is a question we are often asked. Ultimately it depends on your use of the computer and what the problem is. With our Diagnostic service we include our professional opinion in replacing or repairing. This of course does not provide any forcast on how long a computer will last once any repair is completed, no one can predict this. We do take into consideration known recalls, common faults, and other issues particular to certain computer models.
Q: Do I have to put a deposit down before you begin working on my computer?A: All of our prices, service and parts, are prepaid. Thus the entire amount approved is paid before we begin any work.
Q: Do you have a trip charge to come to my home or business?A: We do not within a 50 mile radius of our office location in the 77084 zip code. Outside of this area we charge $1 per mile over the 50 mile radius.
Q: How much do you charge to fix my laptop screen, it's cracked?A: Since laptop screens cannot be "fixed" that are cracked, they must be replaced, we prefer to quote them by part number. The prices range from $100-$300 but this is a window and normally they go for around $120. This is the part only. If there is a physical crack on the screen that can be seen then we check-in the computer under a Free Evaluation to get an accurate part and labor quote. If there is no physical damage outside of the screen not working properly then we need to perform a diagnostic service to isolate what is causing the issue. This Diagnostic is applied towards the repair quote.
Q: Am I required to purchase your diagnostic service?A: No, we provide it as a recommendation. We do have a free evaluation service, this does not test anything but simply makes a recommendation based upon what service we feel you need. Our diagnostic service is designed to test parts and get to the root cause of any symptons you are having thus it is recommended.
Q: What do I have to bring into your store for you to service my desktop computer?A: We need only the tower or computer itself (the part you insert CD/DVDs into). We do not need your keyboard, mouse, monitor, or any cables.
Q: What do I have to bring into your store for you to service my laptop computer?A: We need the computer and the power adapter or power cord.
Q: Should I bring my recovery, system restore, or software that came with my computer?A: Actually, if you are able to definitly bring it in. This will prevent any extra trips if we do need any of these software titles. |
